Senior Derivatives Middle Office

Job description / Role

Summary:

* Middle Office operations expert with experience in derivatives trade support, front to back margin & collateral management, and accurate pricing for complex instruments (incl. Total Return Swaps, Interest Rate Swaps, Credit Default Swaps, Exotic Options, Swaptions)
* This role requires a deep understanding of Derivatives operations, trade lifecycle management, and the mechanics of financial instruments

Key Responsibilities:

Derivatives Trade Management
* Capture, Process, Affirm, Match and settle Derivative instruments utilizing a detailed understanding of the product lifecycles and covering a range of Derivatives products which include: Total Return Swaps, Interest Rate Swaps, Credit Default Swaps, Exotic Options, Swaptions.
* Understanding the full lifecycle of trades, including novation's, unwinds, early and partial terminals, coupons, fees, resets, substitutions, and dividends.
* Resolve complex reconciliations and investigations in a timely manner to adhere to global cut off times.
* Up-to-date knowledge of systems, processes, legal structures, and exception process requirements.

Collateral & Margin Management
* Manage the front to back processes related to Collateral and Margin Management, including margin breaks and dispute resolution.
* Understand the process for calculating, posting, and settling initial and variation margin.
* Understanding of relevant legal agreements (inc. CSAs, ECS, ACAs, GMRAs).
* Understanding of different collateral management setups, services and vendors, including Acadia, Triparty Agents & TriOptima.

Complex Instruments Pricing
* Ability to value multiple complex instruments, in accordance with internal valuation policies.
* Maintain and update valuation models and methodologies & conduct regular fair value

* Relevant experience hedge fund operations
* Strong understanding of complex financial instruments
* Relevant professional qualifications preferred (CFA or CAIA or equivalent operational qualifications)
