Job description / Role

The successful applicant will write well-organized, structured, documented code of the highest quality. Your main objectives will be to manage all aspects of front and back end system design, ensuring high performance and high security. In addition to standard coding duties, the successful applicant will be responsible for assessing our requirements and assisting in building a team of developers for future projects

Michael Page Digital have partnered with a leading ecommerce business for this role.

Description

* Maintaining and adding new features to existing transnational sites based on Magento community and enterprise edition
* Managing all aspects of the front and back-end design process including liaising with graphic designers and converting their designs into Magento stores
* Carrying out extensive testing on existing and a new code to maximise reliability
* Ensuring the high level of security throughout all aspects of development
* Developing mobile App's for our existing sites
* Troubleshooting performance issues and optimizing existing code
* Optimizing ongoing database and front end performance
* Liaising with external security researchers to fix any issues that may be discovered

Requirements

* 5+ years of experience
* Setting up of LAMP environments for testing and configuring web applications
* Familiarity with setting up AWS / Google Cloud environments
* Expert knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JQuery and Ajax
* Strong OO PHP 5 / Zend Framework knowledge
* Full understanding of PCI DSS and how to create highly secure environments
* In depth understanding of MySQL, Percona Server & Toolkit, LiteSpeed, Apache, APC, Zend Optimizer
* Experienced in developing and customizing Magento extensions
* Experience of REST & SOAP API's
* iOS & Android App development experience welcomed
