Job description / Role

Job purpose

u2022 To provide expertise in designing and maintaining solution architecture.
u2022 Participate in enhancing the organization enterprise architecture as per business requirements and develop/maintain relevant artifacts.
u2022 Enhance the current ICT solutions based on assessment of existing, future demand and industry standards/trends.
u2022 Ensure that all new implementations are in compliance with the organization standards (technical and security).
u2022 Work together with IT leadership to deliver an ICT solution strategy and roadmap aligned with business goals and priorities.
u2022 Ensure in collaboration with design specialists that the design has been fully considered for both network and infrastructure implications.
u2022 Introduce new solutions (systems or technologies) through proper assessment of requirements and development of supporting justification.
u2022 Work with business representatives to develop non-functional requirements.
u2022 Develop technical specification for vendor engagement as part of a procurement process. Represent the organization on procurement matters for all technical requirements.
u2022 Participate in project related activities ensuring that solutions are implemented according to agreed design.
u2022 Develop standards and guides in relation to architecture activities.
u2022 Share expertise with the team and support during major critical incidents and contribute service performance and capacity improvement.

Key activities, responsibility & accountability

Activities and responsibilities:
u2022 Uses appropriate tools, including logical models of components and interfaces, to contribute to the development of solution architectures in specific business or functional areas. Should be familiar with TOGAF standards and ArchiMate stencils while preparing models and diagrams.
u2022 Produces detailed component specifications, design diagrams and translates these into detailed design documents for implementation. Expected to prepare standard technical diagrams namely solution diagram, data dissemination diagram, deployment diagram to name a few and need to prepare high level design documents for solutions, platforms and technology platform.
u2022 Architect and oversee the integration of cloud, API-first and event driven systems ensuring interoperability across business domains. Expected to have in-depth ideas about different cloud deployment models (namely SaaS, IaaS, PaaS etc.) and to understand the impact on existing landscape.
u2022 Should be well versed with recent developments on artificial intelligence (AI) domain and how different technical components are interrelated for solution design.
u2022 Provides advice on technical aspects of system development and integration (including requests for changes, deviations from specifications, etc.) and ensures that relevant technical strategies, policies, standards and practices are applied correctly. Technical expertise should cover architecture layers namely business, data, application, integration, infrastructure (including network) and security.
u2022 Support the business applications with a broad range of standard technologies including J2EE, .NET, UNIX, SQL, workflow, mobility, cloud and web services is required for day to day activities.
u2022 Should be aware of open-source products and frameworks and in-depth knowledge of different design patterns, architecture patterns. Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming concepts and expert hands-on knowledge of multi-tier software development. Knowledge of SAP platform will be a plus.
u2022 Support in capturing, prioritizing, market and environmental trends, business strategies, objectives, and identifying the business benefits of alternative strategies.
u2022 Support in conducting feasibility studies, producing high-level business models, and preparing business cases.
