Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

• Able to write data and perform intricate engineering and design. This detailed design experience in the drawing development area must include, but not limited to Area Classification, Single Line Drawings, Layouts covering all categories, Raceway systems (all categories), Schematics (Ladder type), and interconnection drawings, Schedules (such as cable, lighting, panel, terminations and similar), Application one-line diagrams for protection relays and Grounding system drawings.
• The candidate must be well-versed in North American engineering ideas, techniques, tools, and materials. They should also be completely acquainted with codes and standards such as the NEC, ANSI, IEEE, UL, CSA, and NFPA, among others.
• Development of equipment and material requirements that address every aspect of the products needed for industrial projects in terms of power generation, transmission, and distribution.
• Developing purchasing requisitions and undertaking the subsequent bid evaluations.
• Individuals must be competent to undertake special engineering studies such as short circuit, relay coordination, power flow, arch flash, motor starting, relay coordination, reliability and similar.
• He must have experience in engineering software packages such as ET AP and SKM.
• The person needs to have prior expertise in commissioning electrical systems and starting up plants.
• Able to rationally develop engineering conclusions and decisions through accurate documentation and calculations.
• Experience working with gas turbines, generating units, and associated power and control systems in power plants. (Preferred experience with GE gas turbines, frame number five or higher)
• Designing, testing & commissioning of high voltage substations and switchyards rated 34.5 kV & 138 kV and related distribution systems.
• Developing drawings for power and control systems of medium voltage switchgears (13.8 kV & 4.16 kV) and related distribution systems.
• Familiar with oil wells electrification procedure and relevant system.
• Preparing cost estimates for capital projects and developing the relevant budgets.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering
• Minimum 15 years of experience in Consulting Engineering Office specializes in petrochemical or in similar industry.
• Registered Professional Engineer.
• Experience of using software such as ET AP and SKM.
