Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

- Preparing the laboratories fit for operation/production and supervising the implementation of the lab's requirements, budgeting, procurement, recruitment, website - according to the deliverables of each lab setup.
- Develop work plans related to the implementation of Lab projects and assist in developing the allocated budget in coordination with the Dean/s and the Lab Managers (Professors).
- Preparing technical RFPs for Industry 4.0 machinery and devices and ensure secure implementation.
- Plan and execute labs resources and infrastructure development and safety policies implementation to align with District 4.0 strategy
- Work with key stakeholders to identify and document process gaps and problem solve and consult to resolve any technical issues with production line (and suggest solutions and approaches.
- Assist in technically managing Lab projects in cooperation with the Deans and Lab Managers.
- Supervising work teams and supervising the various engineering works to ensure that they are completed as required.
- Manage vendor statements of work, project budgets and co-ordinate invoice payments through Procurement.
- Develop and manage detailed project plans for complex projects with strong change control.
- Establish and build relationships across the District 4.0 Labs and the STEM disciplines within the Colleges to facilitate achievement of strategic goals maintaining momentum throughout the project lifecycle.
- Develop business cases representing the technology operations role for acquisition and divesture activities.
- Work with equipment suppliers to thoroughly understand equipment installation needs and allocate equipment space and resources as required to develop successful labs.
- Work with installation vendors to plan and execute successful equipment and associated facilities installation.
- Coordination with experts and consultants and taking engineering and technical consultations related to the projects to be implemented.
- Performing any other work related to the nature of work upon assignment

Requirements

Minimum Qualification
- Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent, preferably with a master's degree in Computer Engineering

Preferred Qualification
- Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent, preferably with a master's degree in Computer Engineering

Expected Skills/Rank/Experience
- Minimum 6 years' experience in the field of designing Labs across multiple departments, with diverse technology projects; PMP credentials; and electronics R&D and project finance experience

Specialized competencies
- Manage and lead the execution of multiple product engineering projects from kick-off through development and qualification to Ramp to Production (RTP) and to Ramp to Volume (RTV).
- Developed the production and scientific Labs from scratch used for Industrial 4.0 concepts.
- Plan and manage multimillion-dollar projects aligning R&D goals with infrastructure solutions and key 4.0 industrial deliverables
