Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Job purpose

  • Develop, perform and monitor the quality and technical assurance processes and activities related to the engineering and technical projects in line with the company quality management systems and practices. Review and monitor the suppliers' documentation to meet the predefined quality standards for the technical and projects, and in line with certification requirements; tendering, supply, permits, etc.
  • Design, update, and monitor all the corrective actions and the consequences of process updates to eliminate or reduce the non-conformities.

Job specific accountabilities (part 1)

Technical assurance

  • Develop the design, updates, and implementation of technical and engineering processes in accordance with quality management systems.
  • Draft, review, and align the technical and engineering projects' documentation with quality requirements; tendering, supply, permits, etc.
  • Consult with subject matter experts regarding provision of appropriate technical input related to change management process tools, flow, and measures.

Quality management system

  • Design and update the project and technical documents, file plans, record classification, record retention, and disposal in accordance with quality standards.
  • Consult on the functions' compliance with the company's document control and record control in line with ISO 9001 requirements.
  • Consult and align with the technical information system team on methodologies and templates to map, document, deploy, measure, and monitor the project and technical processes.

Continuous improvement

  • Review action plans implemented for tracking and close-out of findings from key assurance activities; i.e., PHSERs, design, HAZOPs, HAZIDs, MoC, etc.
  • Recommend work methods, standards, measures, and tools to propose value-adding changes and derive necessary amendments to processes.
  • Monitor and analyse non-conformity reports and audit findings to ensure corrective actions are well implemented and meeting desired targets.

Supply standards

  • Liaise with supply chain, commercial procurement, or contracting functions regarding suppliers; i.e., contractors, manufacturers, etc., pre-qualifications, qualifications, and performance evaluations.
  • Review documents of suppliers, contractors, vendors, etc., to ensure quality requirements are met.
  • Recommend development of vendors' prequalification criteria to ensure placement and coverage of all quality measures and required product certifications.
  • Recommend vendors' qualification and renewal occasions, referencing all inspection and quality records.
  • Design, update, and generate analysis reports for suppliers' performance to ensure aligned common measures to assess suppliers and compliance with manufacturing practices.

  • Contribute to achievement of approved performance objectives for the function in line with the company performance framework.

  • Design and implement new tools and techniques to improve quality and efficiency of operational processes.
  • Identify improvements in internal processes against best practices in pursuit of greater efficiency in line with best industry standards to define intelligent solutions for issues confronting the function.

Health, safety, environment (HSE) and sustainability

  • Comply with relevant HSE policies, procedures, controls, applicable legislation, and sustainability guidelines in line with international standards, best practices, and company code of practices.

  • Provide inputs to prepare section MIS and progress reports for management.

Minimum qualification

Bachelor degree in industrial engineering or any technical/engineering qualifications.

Minimum experience, knowledge & skills

  • Eight years of experience, including experience in technical and engineering projects.
  • Exposure to work with quality and technical assurance for technical projects.
  • Understanding of technical suppliers' documentation, performance, and technical-quality assessments.
