Key Responsibilities

  • Review procurement documents to ensure that quality requirements have been correctly translated into material requisitions and design documents.
  • List procurement inspection criticality rating for various items and capture the same in supplier quality requirements.
  • Review material requisitions to ensure that the applicable quality requirements are correctly captured.
  • Review supplier ITPs, quality procedures etc. against requirements.
  • Develop project specific QCP/ITP/ITRs for both supplier and site QMS.
  • Coordinate with completion team to set up Co-Console (when required).
  • Chair and perform pre-inspection meetings.
  • Verify compilation, by coordinator, of supplier inspection assignment packages.
  • Conduct supplier capability assessment as assigned.
  • Complete and submit supplier capability assessment reports within 10 working days for approval.
  • Moderate and review supplier post order evaluation report/matrix.
  • Raise non-conformance reports (NCRs) during surveillance visits and close within project KPI. Coordinate and resolve activities related to NCRs.
  • Coordinate supplier pre-order quality approvals, when required.
  • Coordinate with discipline engineers and other stakeholders on establishing project specific quality criteria.
  • Ensure the verification of documentation, test reports and certificates during procurement and manufacturing phases.
  • Review and approve supplier inspection procedures and personnel qualifications.
  • Review and approve supplier material certificates.
  • Take part in shop inspections and surveillances, when required.
  • Coordinate with respective stakeholders for the resolution of technical discrepancies.
  • Coordinate with management for quality improvements, based on role assigned.
  • Issue non-conformity reports, monitor and follow up for close out.
  • Coordinate with expediting, delivery, project and engineering teams on all procurement quality issues.
  • Verify product for its compliance with approved documents and ITP.
  • Produce necessary inspection reports (if inspected personally) and release notes after satisfactory completion of inspections and compliance verification.
  • Assure resolution of all quality procurement issues raised during inspection and testing. Where applicable, provide recommendations for possible solutions.
  • Coordinate with concerned parties, review and ensure timely delivery of MRBs based on approved MRB index.
  • Provide technical inputs for supplier queries on quality.
  • Provide key technical assistance on quality scope to suppliers on writing and executing test approvals and final reports.
  • Manage open points, quality documentation for easy retrieval and traceability, and maintain a proactive approach in the interest of the project.

Essential Qualifications and Skills

  • Engineering diploma or degree with relevant years of experience.
  • Must have a thorough working knowledge of international codes and standards, specifically EN standards, DNV standards and EU directives for all types of static and rotating equipment and piping.
  • Experience in offshore projects, preferably associated with windfarm projects or oil and gas industry.
  • Previous experience working with major EPC contractors in a similar role.
  • Quality lead auditor training and certification, with auditing experience.
