Job description / Role
Job Purpose
Supervises the activities of Hydrocarbon Schedulers to ensure the availability of planned product quality and quantity. Supervises operations with respect to feed stock availability, unit throughputs, component quality, tank allocations etc., to meet the market lifting commitments. Ensures the blend optimization and implementation of product quality KPIs. Coordinates with Marine to ensure product lifting as well as reception.
Job Specific Accountabilities
Product Scheduling:
- Monitors all production scheduling activities including feedstock receipts, process units feed programming, run down receipts, components properties, product blending, certification and dispatch programming ensuring blend optimization, production certification and meeting commitments.
- Handles the scheduling activities with respect to chemical receipts and injections and ensures implementation of product quality and minimization of quality giveaway.
Product Shipment:
- Confers with Marine Coordinator and ADNOC Marketing to accept cargo nomination in line with lifting programs.
- Liaises with Marine and Oil Movement with respect to vessel berthing, shipments and imports to ensure smooth operation.
- Liaises with marketing for any changes in the shipment schedules in the short term.
Coordination with Other Departments/Sections:
- Coordinates with Lab for timely analysis of finished products and schedules for control checks.
- Coordinates with lab for any testing anomalies or any issues with the product certification.
- Coordinates with Oil Movements to ensure proper and timely implementation of blending, shipment, pipeline transfer and any other instructions.
- Establishes and reviews the communicating means with other sections for daily instructions.
- Coordinates as necessary to understand and implement the optimum blend strategies and updates the plan implementation constrains to reduce the planned and actual gap.
Work Monitoring:
- Monitors the unit yields, stream qualities, consumption of chemicals and additives etc.
- Monitors and prepares periodic reports of deviations in blending schemes, product quality giveaway along with reasons for such deviations.
- Assists in the finalization of the weekly production plans along with Refinery Economics Section, which forms the basis for 13 week supply program.
Requirements:
Minimum Qualification
- Bachelor Degree in Chemical or Petroleum Engineering.
Minimum Experience, Knowledge & Skills
- 9 years' experience in refinery scheduling activities including working with computer based programs, preferably in a large scale Refinery.
Skills:
- Good knowledge of English. Knowledge of Arabic is preferable.
