Senior Engineer (Technology / Data Centres)

Job description / Role

Our Well regarded International Design & Engineering Consultancy Client has a new requirement for a well experienced Consultant Senior Engineer - Technology to join their team in Dubai to work on major new Data Centre projects in the Emirates. Successful candidates will have a proven background as a Senior Consultant Engineer working on major Data Centre and MCF projects in the UAE and/or the wider GCC. Candidates must have worked for a recognised Consultancy Company previously.

This role is available for immediate joining and is a direct hire, permanent opportunity employed by our client.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for running of medium size projects or taking ownership of design packages on large scale projects.
• Undertakes a client facing role in the development and design and coordination of engineering project services for MEP installations, systems, equipment, facilities etc.
• Surveys tests and reports on existing mechanical or electrical installations
• Specifies activities to ensure that manufacturing, construction, installation, and operational testing confirm to functional specifications and customer requirements
• Day to day decision making on project progress and direct liaison with and provides advice to client
• Represents Company at technical meetings with customers, professional teams and contractors teams
• Carries out engineering calculations to ensure drawings meet required robust industry and legal standards
• Responsible for technical content and accuracy of Trainee, Graduates and Engineers
• Validation and checking of designs and specifications
• Support the delivery of projects in accordance with the expectations of the Project Delivery Process from a Project Management, Financial Management, QA/QC and Technical Review perspective.

Senior Engineer (Technology / Data Centres) Experience:

• BEng, MSc, and have sufficient experience
• MCIBSE/MIEE or HNC/HND + appropriate experience or equivalent
• Working towards Chartered Eng status
• Proven track record of delivery within a recognised design consultancy or PMC
• Competent in specification design/drawing for several building types
• Sound knowledge of key Health and Safety issues and legislation
• Knowledge of MS Office applications word, excel etc
• Ability to use IT based calculation and spreadsheet software
• Good understanding relevant codes and standards.
• Good understanding of local permitting procedures and submission requirements.
• Ability to prioritise own workload and work to deadlines
• Managerial Skills

Salary:
AED 18,000 to 27,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
