Job description / Role
The senior field service engineer will perform full overhauls, repairs and retrofits on a variety of ship-board diesel equipment, particularly medium speed diesel engines. Leading a team of technicians and engineers on projects across the MENA region, you'll focus on rapidly responding to clients requests for diesel engine repairs. With the aid of the workshop, business development team and technical management, you'll be involved in end to end project management of large overhaul and repair jobs on medium speed engines, coordinating logistics, manpower and technical aspects to complete jobs in a timely and effective manner.
Requirements
You'll need in depth experience working for a similar multi-national service company focusing on diesel engines for ships, a background in maritime service (as a ships engineer) would be advantageous, but you must also have demonstrated shore based experience leading large projects in port. As my client is considered an industry expert in medium and low speed diesel for the maritime industry it is imperative that you have carried out a variety of overhauls and repairs for the shipping industry's diesel sector.
