Senior Financial Accountant

Job description / Role

This is a 12 month contract.

One of our well-known multinational clients based in the DIFC is looking to hire a senior financial accountant. The close-knit finance team are all very competent and highly qualified professionals from the Big 4.

The role reports into the Head of Finance directly, and works alongside 2 other people in finance.

This is a highly technical role – You should be 100% up to date with IFRS and fully qualified (CA, ACCA,CPA), therefore someone who has been trained as an auditor in the Big 4 is preferred. Industry experience of 2-3 years is also required.

Responsibilities

• Preparing financial statements
• Preparing and analysing multiple management reports
• Analysing financial reports and records using Excel
• Completing and reviewing complex reconciliations, providing training on reconciliations and accounting processes
• Advising on correct general ledger accounts for transactions
• Regional VAT returns

Salary:
AED 24,000 to 26,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.

Requirements

• Big 4 experience (min 3 years)
• + Industry experience of 2-3 years (in a Fortune 500 multinational company)
• Chartered accountant (3-8 years PQE)
• Team player
• Available to start within 2 weeks
• Excellent communication & interpersonal skills, well presented and confident
• Strong attention to detail
• You must be OK with joining on a 12 month contract basis.
