Senior Front-End Engineer

Job description / Role

Quest is working in partnership with an exciting and fast-growing e-Commerce company in the GCC to hire Senior Front-End Engineers to join their team. We are ideally looking for someone who has good experience in creating and maintaining user-friendly webpages for different platforms.

Full-time, remote working set-up is available for candidates outside the UAE.

As a Senior Front-End Engineer, you will:
• Develop structure and design of applications across platforms
• Develop new features for user experience and optimize for maximum speed
• Optimize web design for relevant platforms (e.g. mobile)
• Collaborate with other team members (e.g. back-end developers, web designers) and stakeholders
• Assist with coding and troubleshooting
• Document development phases
• Keep abreast with latest technology trends

Requirements

Desirable skills and background:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering/Science, with at least 5 years’ experience
• Experience in UI/UX design and development
• Over 5 years’ experience with ReactJS
• Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them
• Working knowledge of REST AP, Vue.JS, Bootstrap, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript including libraries.
• Strong project management and problem-solving skills
