Senior General Ledger/Manager - Real Estate

Job description / Role

Job Purpose:

Execute general ledger accounting tasks and financial reporting activities, maintaining accurate financial records while utilizing AI-powered tools and automated systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy in daily accounting operations supporting the real estate development business.

• Execute daily general ledger activities including transaction processing, journal entry preparation, account maintenance, and reconciliation
• Tasks ensuring accurate financial record-keeping in accordance with IFRS and UAE regulatory standards
• Automated Reconciliation Execution: Perform account reconciliations using AI-enhanced matching tools, investigating exceptions identified by machine learning algorithms, and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner
• Month-End Processing Support: Execute routine month-end procedures including accruals, prepayments, and closing entries using automated systems, ensuring timely and accurate completion of assigned reconciliations and reports
• Real Estate Transaction Recording: Process real estate-specific transactions including development costs, customer deposits, inventory transfers, and revenue recognition entries with automated validation checks
• Regulatory Compliance Support and Cash Management Support
• Revenue Recognition Processing and Documentation & Filing

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; minimum 4-6 years of accounting experience with at least 1-2 years exposure to general ledger accounting, preferably within UAE real estate or construction industry
• Working towards professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, CA, CPA, or equivalent is preferred
• Basic understanding of IFRS accounting principles and UAE business regulations
