Senior HSE Officer

Job description / Role

Guildhall is currently recruiting for an experienced Senior HSE Officer for a prestigious bridge construction project. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) management within the construction industry, with specific experience in bridge construction.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement HSE plans, Risk Assessments, HSE procedure documents, and monthly reports to ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Identify potential safety hazards on-site and propose preventive measures to mitigate risks.
• Collaborate with the project team to ensure that safety standards are consistently adhered to throughout the project lifecycle.
• Manage and maintain safety documentation, ensuring they are up-to-date and in compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Provide HSE training and guidance to project teams and contractors.
• Monitor and report on HSE performance to senior management, suggesting improvements as necessary.

• Minimum of 5 years of overall experience in HSE management, with at least 2 years of experience in bridge construction or related infrastructure projects.
• Proven ability to develop and manage HSE documents, including plans, risk assessments, procedures, and monthly reports.
• Strong experience in identifying safety hazards on-site and implementing corrective actions to ensure a safe working environment.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with project teams, contractors, and senior management.
• Proficient in using standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
• Must hold a NEBOSH Level 3 or higher certification, along with other relevant HSE certifications (e.g., OSHAD/ADOSH).
• A University degree or higher in a relevant field is required.
