Senior HVAC Engineer

Job description / Role

Wood is currently recruiting for a Senior HVAC Engineer (PMC/Engineering) to join our team in Sharjah, UAE.

RESPONSIBILITIES

PMC:
- Ensure quality and accuracy of EPC Contractor's and Vendor's Discipline design activities
- Review and approval of EPC Contractor's work and ensure compliance with project specifications, relevant codes and standards, and best industry practices in compliance with the contractual review periods
- Participate in layout reviews, Model review, design reviews, and technical workshops

ENGINEERING:
- Generate required engineering deliverables relevant to Discipline
- Coordinate and deliver the required engineering participation in the development and analysis of various design options and business models
- Contribute input and expertise in the development and analysis of various design options and business models to design optimization and validation
- Perform Equipment sizing / equipment selection considering optimization and standardization
- Perform technical reviews and bid evaluation, and performance evaluation

GENERAL:
- Ensure that the facilities are designed in accordance with the latest corporate guidelines with respect to environment and health aspects
- Provide technical assistance and coordination with other discipline engineers
- Provide technical assistance during installation, pre-commissioning & commissioning.

- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in oil and gas industry
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent technical team and interpersonal skills
- Experience and detailed knowledge of relevant international codes and standards
- Knowledge of engineering computer programs and general business software
- Ability to make independent decisions in the planning, organizing and coordinating to develop solutions to complex problems
- Understanding of project status and schedule/commercial impacts due to modifications or changes to engineering
- Self-starter and flexibility to manage and deliver both PMC and engineering activities.
