Senior Information Technology Internal Auditor

Job description / Role

We are looking for a Senior Information Technology Internal Auditor to join our Internal Audit Team.

Direct reporting to the Internal Audit Manager, you will be responsible for assisting in delivering independent and objective assurance over technology and operational Internal Controls at Seddiqi Holding through assessing whether company policies & procedures are complied with, management systems are effective, and business risks are managed.

You will be responsible for:
• Plan and execute corporate information technology (IT) audits to assess internal control processes and operational performance, in accordance with department and professional standards. Building relationships with all internal and external stakeholders
• Demonstrate and apply a thorough understanding of complex information systems and perform general and application control reviews
• Perform, individually or as part of a team, IT audits of the group in accordance with the Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Audit as set forth by the IIA, ISO27001 and department standards
• Perform reviews of internal control procedures and security for systems under development and/or enhancements to current systems
• Prepare an audit programme that describes in detail the nature, timing, and extent of the internal audit procedures for an individual audit project
• Perform internal audit work of a simple to moderate complexity nature while applying knowledge of internal audit techniques and problem solving skills
• Work on special projects or consulting engagements concerning significant corporate issues as directed by the HOID

You will be someone creating deliverables such as process documentation, process flowcharts, audit plan, risk and control evaluation matrix, summary of findings and management’s response, draft and final internal audit report, so you need to be knowledgeable of the IIA standards and IT implementation and management methodologies.

You will be someone performing information control reviews to include system development standards, operating procedures, system security, programming controls, communication controls, backup and disaster recovery, and system maintenance.

Requirements

• University degree in Computer science, accounting, finance or a related field
• Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), and/or specific to the information technology industry such as a Certified Network Engineer, Certified Security Professional
• 4-5 Years of operational IT audit experience in the retail industry or the big four companies with exposure to retail clients
• Strong knowledge of network and network systems design, capacity planning, operations methodology, error detection/resolution techniques, quality assurance techniques, and IT implementation and management methodologies.
• Familiar with the ISO 27001 standards and compliance procedures
