The key objectives for this role are:

• Creating and implementing advanced instrumentation systems for industrial processes
• Enhancing system performance and efficiency through automation and control strategies
• Ensuring all instrumentation adheres to industry standards and regulatory requirements
• Diagnosing and resolving issues to maintain seamless operations
• Leading instrumentation projects, coordinating with teams, and managing budgets
• Researching and integrating new technologies to improve system capabilities

Responsibilities

Key accountabilities and responsibilities:

• The role of instrumentation designer is to carry out day to day instrumentation engineering and design activities in an assigned project
• The designer reports functionally to the department manager and operationally to one or more lead engineers / lead designer. The understanding of the technical requirements of the project, standards are crucial
• Assist the senior designer in instrumentation design activities by timely developing the drawings as per project and company quality standards
• Ability to analyze and understand client requirements
• Ability to develop bills of materials
• SPI, PDS, PDMS, SP3D 3D modeling or 2D drafting
• Installation layouts (instrument location layouts, air distribution, main cable routing, secondary cable tray). Building layouts (control room equipment layout, earthing layout, telecom layout). Instrument standard installation / hookups and cable block diagram
• Loop drawing, wiring diagram in 2D as well as in SPI
• Ensures effective communications among other engineering disciplines and project management
• Coordinate within members of discipline, other engineering disciplines within the organization or project team as well as with clients, third parties, vendors etc.
• Participate in progress review meetings and be aware of project status, progress, delays, change notices, performance measurement, lessons learned and close-out
• Takes personal responsibility for safety and a healthy environment on the projects
• Should be able to add value plus/ optimization ideas

Expected:

• Diploma or degree in instrumentation or electronics and communication
• In-depth knowledge of design tools - AutoCAD / Micro station
• FPSO design experience
• SPI, PDS, PDMS, SP3D 3D modeling software experience
• Ability to organize and set priorities
• Ability to communicate and present effectively
• Ability to report in English, both verbal and in writing
• Proactive attitude
• 10+ years' experience in I&C design, minimum 5+ years engineering consultancy
