Senior Interior Designer

Job description / Role

Objectives:
- To produce innovative and creative interior design concepts for temporary structures and event interiors.
- Responsibility from design concept, through developed design and into technical design phases to delivered event of all interior design finishing, FF&E and custom made items required.

Main responsibilities:
- Developing creative concepts to meet clients brief.
- Space planning, including structure and site layouts, furniture plans.
- Design of interior structural elements such as feature walls, staircases.
- Design of all creative/customised elements and FF&E required for an event.
- Production of, Concept Plans, Elevations and 3D rendered images using Sketch Up/VRay, Autocad to demonstrate concept design.
- Preparation of Technical Design phase detail drawings.
- Briefing and coordinating with Visualiser on creative concept, preparing reference images, finishing specs and sketches for production of rendered images.
- Building constant awareness of supplier and market stock
- Preparation of BOQ
- Briefing of Production Dept and suppliers for preparation of all costings
- Liaising with Project Managers & Production Manager onsite regarding installation design details.
- Completion of all necessary paperwork and following Harlequin admin systems
- Reporting to: Director of Interior Design
- Subordinates: Draftsman, Visualiser
- Duration: Permanent
- Desired start date: October
- Probation: 3 months
- Working Hours: Sunday-Thursday 9am-6pm

Requirements

- You will be a naturally creative person with a passion for interior design, architecture and event design and have a proven track record in design and build projects for hospitality or event design.
- Your key focus will be to produce innovative, creative interior design concepts for temporary structures and events.
- Responsibility from design concept, through developed design and technical design phases onto delivered event of all interior design, finishing and FF&E.
- Auto CAD, Sketchup skills a must.
