Senior Internal Auditor

Job description / Role

The Senior Internal Auditor is responsible for planning and scoping audits and identifying key risks and controls to be assessed. SIA will also be responsible for the preparation of the audit testing program and assessment of the adequacy of the design and operation of the controls associated with the key risks identified. This role holder will provide support to the Internal Audit Manager and Group Chief Audit Executive as required.

• Excellent Business Communication in Arabic and English
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Internal/External Audit in UAE is a must.
• Must have previous experience working for any BIG 4 Audit firms
• Preferably experienced in the Aviation industry, publicly listed company, government entity
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Business, or Finance.
• Professional certifications such as CA, CPA, ACCA, CIA, CISA, or other certifications relevant to Internal Audit.
• Experience with CAATs, general IT audit skills, and ERP systems is highly valued.
• Experience in project management and in handling multiple deadlines and tasks.
• Good knowledge and skills in applying internal auditing, accounting principles, and best practices.
• Good planning, organization, research, analysis, and interpersonal skills.
• Good knowledge of the Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing and the Code of Ethics developed by The Institute of Internal Auditors.
