The Company
Robert Half are working Exclusively with a top tier Investment firm based in Abu Dhabi. They operate using a various investment types.
The Role
This role is to identify ideas/ themes, source managers/ funds, conduct in depth due diligence and monitor fund investments. These funds will primarily be PE/ VC funds with some overlap to Hedge Fund / Long Only funds as well. There will be some exposure to PE direct and PE Co-investments. The geographic focus (in order) is North America / Asia / Europe / GCC / ROW.
* Oversee Fund universe (PE, VC, HF, LO) to identify opportunities that support the investment process
* Communicate with market participants and keep track of company, sector, theme specific news flow
* Recommend ideas and Fund investments to be added or removed from portfolio
* Conduct detailed and in-depth due diligence on Funds and related investments including underwriting co-investments and direct investments
* Help author detailed investment case and investment recommendations including financial models
* Monitor portfolio fund investments across changes in investment risk, operational risk, opportunity set, sector, macro trends, valuation and underlying fund investments
* Provide support and contribute to portfolio construction, portfolio monitoring and risk management across wider portfolio
Requirements
The Candidate
* Degree from a reputable university with good grades in financial and numerical disciplines
* CFA charter (not compulsory) and MBA would be an added advantage
* Minimum 10 years of investment experience in Fund selection as Analyst, Associate, Principal from reputable firm in countries with established PE ecosystem
* Strong prior experience of due diligence, valuation, investment sourcing, idea generation, monitoring
* Must be well versed with PE/ HF/ LO Fund landscape
* Must be well versed with in-depth investment due diligence
* Experienced in idea generation, sourcing, monitoring
* Some experience with operations, legals, onboarding
* Exposure to portfolio construction, management, risk
* Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Power point, Word
* Strong written and oral communication skills in English
Salary and Benefits
AED 40,000 - 60,000 per month, plus company benefits
