Job description / Role
We are seeking an experienced Java Developer on behalf of our client who specialise in e-commerce solutions for businesses within the Middle East. This role will report to the CIO.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Evolve and expand our solutions in J2EE.
- Design databases and develop SQL reporting functions. Collaborate in a small team on dynamic tasks.
- Structure and build UI screens using JSP.
- Contribute to functional and technical design specifications.
- Improve customer experience by working on new features and requirements.
Requirements
- Strong skills in object-oriented design, data-structures and algorithms
- Strong experience building J2EE business applications using Java, JSP, Servlets
- Strong experience designing database schema and SQL reporting tools
- Knowledge of application servers such as Tomcat
- Excellent communication skills
Ideally, the successful candidate will also have experience with:
- GNU/Linux PHP, JavaScript HTML/CSS
- Git
