Senior Land Surveyor

Job description / Role

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Land Surveyor to join our team for the Etihad Rail project in Dubai, specifically for the construction of two pedestrian bridges. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all surveying activities on-site, ensuring accuracy, precision, and compliance with project specifications and design requirements.

• Conduct and supervise land and topographic surveys for bridge construction works.
• Establish and maintain horizontal and vertical control points to support all construction activities.
• Coordinate with the design and construction teams to ensure survey data aligns with project drawings and specifications.
• Perform setting out of bridge foundations, piers, abutments, and superstructure elements.
• Prepare and maintain accurate survey records, as-built data, and reports.
• Verify and check subcontractors’ survey works and provide necessary approvals.
• Ensure all surveying instruments are properly calibrated and maintained.
• Manage and guide junior surveyors and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and consultants to resolve any site-level discrepancies.

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Land Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in land surveying, with at least 5 years in bridge or infrastructure construction projects within the UAE.
• Proven experience in bridge construction surveying is essential.
• Strong knowledge of surveying equipment (Total Station, GPS, Auto Level) and relevant software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, etc.).
• Excellent understanding of UAE construction standards and project procedures.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and perform precise setting-out works.
• Valid UAE Driving License and own car are mandatory.
