Senior Landscape Architect

Job description / Role

A leading architectural firm is looking to hire a Senior Landscape Architect with the following roles and responsibilities:

• Oversee the design of a variety of projects, including urban regeneration schemes, pedestrian schemes, road or retail schemes
• Establish general landscape requirements with clients
• Seek and take into account the views of local residents, potential users, and parties with a vested interest in the project
• Accurately prepare and present detailed plans and working drawings of the re-design of the new site, including applications, construction details and specifications for the project using design software’s
• Match the client's wishes with your knowledge of what will work best
• Contact and coordinate manufacturers and suppliers
• Ensure deadlines are met
• Liaise with other professionals on the project
• Producing contracts and estimated costs
• Presenting proposals to clients for approval and agreeing time-scales
• Overseeing projects as they progress
• Liaising with other professionals such as architects, surveyors, town planners and civil engineers
• Must be flexible with designs from simple cost effective to creative/impressive designs.
• Manage the production of project design drafting and details.
• Ability to execute a project from concept through construction documentation.
• Ability to demonstrate strong graphic capabilities.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment.
• Ability to prepare construction documents and construction drawings detailing.

Requirements

• Bachelors or Master’s degree in Architecture
• 5 to 10 years of experience
• Ability to work in a team / multidisciplinary environment
• Strong verbal, written & graphic communication skills
• Experience & interest in hard & soft landscape construction and interior design
• Experience in urban design, sustainable design and landscape/site planning & design
• Experience in hard & soft landscape, indoor landscaping, water features and irrigation designs
