Job Objective:
Senior Leasing Officer show prospective tenants available properties to rent. They also answer questions about the properties. After a prospective tenant agrees to rent a property, the Senior Leasing Officer must also complete application and lease form, required supporting documents and collect the deposit and rent cheques. Senior Leasing Officer may also perform a range of property-related duties, such as maintenance.

Senior Leasing Officer is essentially a salesman who also provides customer services. When showing a prospective tenant a property, you must be familiar enough with it to describe the benefits of the property, such as any amenities, and also able to talk about potential concerns. You should be able to talk about nearby shopping centers, available parking and similar.

Senior Leasing Officer provide a range of customer services. You may talk to tenants about problems and figure out how to best solve the problem and or refer them to the correct department. Senior Leasing Officer to maintain records on all of available and leased properties.

Senior Leasing Officer role may include checking on the premises and setting up maintenance when necessary. They may advertise their available properties, such as in newspapers or online listings.

Key Responsibilities:
• Leasing of retail, commercial & residential properties.
• Networking with Agents and Prospecting.
• Maximize rental and occupancy.
• Liaising with new and/or existing tenants.
• Implement leasing plans and strategies.
• Rental and contract negotiation.
• Prepare reports and rental review papers.
• Advise on product development: pricing, benefits, services offered, lease commercial terms etc.
• Sourcing potential clients and closing lease deals.
• Responsible for the completion of offer and lease agreements leaving the office.
• Responsible for all general correspondence to client base.
• Maintaining and updating inventory level of properties.
• Maintaining lease availability list.
• Maintaining data base.
• Co coordinating with existing tenants and maintaining relationship.
• Market research to identify opportunities, competitor pricing and potential new tenants.
• Liaise with 3rd party suppliers, existing tenants, outside brokers to maintain updated on market conditions and trends.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in any discipline.
• Diploma in Real Estate, Marketing, Real Estate Management or equivalent is preferred.
• Minimum of 7-10 years' relevant GCC/UAE experience in marketing and leasing out retail properties, working with major retail groups (food & beverage outlets, FMCG shops etc.).
• Self-motivated, independent, customer-oriented, good negotiation skills.
• Team player with good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Should have proven customer service experience and impeccable verbal and written communication skills in Arabic & English is highly preferred.
• Valid UAE driver’s license and a clean driving record.

Skill Sets Required:
• Time Management & Independence: Leasing agents must manage their own time and schedules, making sure they are hustling to get the word out about properties and find the information their clients need.
• Interpersonal Skills: work with internal departments (such as finance and facilities as examples), clients and customers face-to-face on a daily basis. Listening to their needs and communicating effectively and pleasantly is a needed skill.
• Persuasion: Skilled leasing agents are good at convincing clients to lease properties at the right price, and use persuasion to close deals.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Leasing agents need to quickly find answers to questions.
• Basic word-processing software (office, word, excel, power point, outlook).
