Job description / Role
Senior legal Consultant
Key Responsibilities:
• Draft, review, and negotiate complex legal documents, including but not limited to commercial agreements, legal notices, memorandums, Wills, powers of attorney, and other essential legal instruments.
• Lead and manage a team of Legal Consultants and Paralegals, reporting directly to the Head of the Legal Department.
• Provide expert legal advice and consultations tailored to clients’ unique circumstances and requirements.
• Stay updated on legislative changes, regulatory updates, and judicial rulings in the UAE to ensure compliance and proactively inform clients.
• Oversee legal correspondence and maintain clear, professional communication with clients, regulatory authorities, and internal/external stakeholders.
• Serve as a trusted legal advisor by addressing client concerns, responding to queries, and delivering actionable, strategic recommendations.
• Build and nurture long-term client relationships, focusing on trust and partnership.
• Contribute to organizational growth by mentoring junior team members and sharing expertise in specialized legal domains.
Requirements:
Must-Have Skills:
* 5 + years of proven experience as a Legal Consultant within a law firm or in-house environment in the UAE. Preferred same industry.
• Strong expertise in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating diverse legal documents with exceptional precision and attention to detail.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with high-profile clients and stakeholders.
• Strong analytical skills to address complex legal matters and propose innovative, pragmatic solutions.
• Comprehensive knowledge of UAE laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
• Proven ability to manage multiple clients and cases efficiently, ensuring timely and high-quality service delivery.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) or equivalent; a Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., LLM) is preferred.
• Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in Arabic or other languages is an advantage.
• Strong organizational and leadership skills, with a demonstrated ability to guide and mentor team.
