Senior Legal Counsel 10 PQE + (Marine & International Trade)
Charterhouse is working with a leading shipping and trading company who is looking to hire an in-house Senior Legal Counsel to play a key role, working with the senior management in relation to dealing with the legal issues arising from the company’s operations.
You will play a lead role in dealing with senior stakeholders in the business in relation to the legal aspects of high profile projects. This is an excellent opportunity to join an established business with activities across the Middle East region. This is a standalone legal role working within the company providing legal support in relation to marine, international trade, corporate, commercial, compliance activities etc.
Requirements
The successful candidate should have c.10 years' plus experience in the marine and international trade sector. There is a need for an individual with experience relating to maritime contracts, vessel purchase and building, contentious shipping issues, along with international trade exposure with broader general legal experience. Our client is open to an individual coming from within a specialist law firm or from a similar in-house position. Candidates can be based in the UAE or relocating from London, Hong Kong or Singapore. Arabic language skills are not required.
