Employment: Full Time

As the Senior Legal Counsel, you will provide strategic legal advice not just to the Company but also all its subsidiaries and owned companies. You will manage all transactional, commercial, corporate and compliance requirements for the Company's interests and investments.

Client Details

A large F&B company headquartered in the Middle East with plans to expand rapidly.

Description

* Provide legal counsel to the Group CEO, the Board and internal stakeholders.
* Draft trade, M&A, and supplier agreements.
* Be very familiar with manufacturing and distribution agreements.
* Aid in the development of legal and commercial strategy to achieve growth targets and mitigate the Company's liabilities.
* Create and implement corporate governance, compliance and ethics program based upon local and international standards.
* Manage external stakeholders, like external counsel for litigation.
* Manage internal legal function and mentor the legal team.

Requirements

* 10+ years of experience in an in-house role or in private practice, with at least 5 years as a practicising attorney in court and/or 5 years in an individual contributor role.
* Ideally a background in FMCG or F&B and experience in managing the contractual obligations of such companies.
* Strong experience of cross-border transactions and IP disputes.
* Excellent communication, stakeholder management and leadership skills.
* Fluency in Arabic is preferred.
