Charterhouse are undertaking a search for an international manufacturer which specialise in premium domestic house-hold appliances. Headquartered in Europe, our client has plants based in the MENA and APAC regions, which offers distribution and support to its global clients. The Senior Logistics Coordinator will be part of their Dubai based office, working as part of a small team, supporting the companies GCC and APAC operations.

This role will supervise the Logistics Coordinator’s daily activities and insure timely deliveries to customers, monitoring stock levels to identify any shortages and recommending orders accordingly.
The Senior Logistics Coordinator will analyse, prepare and process ordering of all inventory items in coordination with the Sales Departments and Product Managers on a monthly basis, whilst coordinating with the Logistics Dept. in HQ for incoming shipments, communicating any delays and updating the system accordingly.

Simultaneously, this mid-level role will work closely with the Freight Forwarders and clearing agents, maintaining records for inbound shipments and handling all relative import documentation. In conjunction, you will continuously review the freight costs and transportation rates to ensure the most economical outcome, issuing relevant financial reports and invoicing to the accounts department in a thorough and accurate manner.

Reporting to the Admin and Finance Director, this role will ensure all operation laws are adhered to and present monthly reconciliation of stock vs physical reports to warehouse providers, maintaining proper filing of all administrative documents.

Requirements

The client will look to recruit a Logistics and Supply Chain professional, whom is able to demonstrate a sustained track record in a similar supervisory role (5 years minimum), within an international organisation.

The successful candidate will have excellent knowledge of working on ERP systems and have an understanding of the domestic appliances sector. The incumbent will hold a bachelor’s Degree in a relevant subject, or hold an active professional supply chain membership (CIPS, CSCMP, SCLAA).

Furthermore, you will have extensive experience of working and collaborating with in-house SC&L international departments, in Asia, Europe or other parts of the GCC providing support through strong spoken and written English.
