Position Overview
The Senior Power Supply technician is responsible for maintaining and refurbishing all the components of the energy / power feeding system and associated wayside instrument equipment including small installations and respond to breakdowns when required.
Essential Job Functions
- Executes testing, maintenance works and minor renewals of all energy and associated equipment efficiently and responds to breakdowns and failures
- Ensures that equipment is maintained and calibrated to data sheets and/or manufacturer specifications
- Works in a professional and safe manner to ensure the maximum protection to oneself, co-workers and plant equipment and ensures compliance to all relevant legislation
- Ensures that the commitment to safety is maintained and enhanced by taking steps to identify and rectify hazards
- Minimizes maintenance costs through the diligent and effective use of company materials as well as by being innovative
- Ensures production targets and qualities are reached and maintained by providing an up to date and ongoing service
Requirements
Academic Qualifications
- High School certificate or equivalent
Professional Qualifications
- Knowledge of electrical works (switching and maintaining of energy)
- Full driving license
Experience
- Relevant industry experience
- Experience in writing reports
Other skills and abilities
- English as first language or advanced level of written and verbal skill
- Good planning skills
- Analytical skills for problem solving
- Basic skills in MS Office Programs
- Capability to work in a multicultural team
