Senior Manager - Business Strategy

Job description / Role

Job Purpose:
The job holder will be responsible for co-designing, developing and managing key strategic initiatives to achieve overall growth objective for Corporate and Commercial Group.

Principal Accountabilities:
- Operationalize the CCBB Group strategy into appropriate initiatives including the selection of target customer, products/value proposition and market approach
- Analyze and create Business cases, strategic initiatives and portfolio management improvements
- Evaluate the impact of business cases and strategic plans on the Bank's equity and profitability as well its competitive landscape
- Support the growth of top-line revenue and customer base for CCBB group through working with front line and support functions
- Contribute to the performance management and resource allocation of the EXCO
- Take responsibility in co driving the banks strategic agenda for growth
- Create and support the dialogue between Business Management and the various stakeholders in order to achieve the goals of Business Management
- Support the creation of new ways towards the cycle of performance management, account planning and cross-sell
- Monitor monthly performance and variance analysis
- Run cross department projects and initiatives that have clear impact on overall CCBB profitability and client needs
- Keep abreast of new developments ,products, services, trends ,technologies etc. in the Corporate and Commercial banking industry, as well as competitor activity and advise management of potential implications for the CCBB business

Requirements

Requirements Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Finance/Economics
- CFA preferred
- Conceptual and analytical experience

Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of strategic management consulting on M & A experience / background, preferably corporate finance.
- Good in Financial Modelling, Equity Analysis and Company Evaluation etc. Experience in Distribution Model Analysis

In 1969, when we at Commercial Bank of Dubai started out little did we know that sheer grit and determination would get us where we are today. An Emiri Decree issued by His Highness the Late Sheikh Rashid Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, the founder of modern Dubai, laid the cornerstone of Commercial Bank of Dubai. We started out as a joint venture of Commerzbank, Chase Manhattan Bank and Commercial Bank of Kuwait. A minority stake was held by a few UAE businessmen.

By 1982, little more than a decade later, we evolved into a National Public Shareholding company. A feat complimented by an exponential increase in the capital base and mammoth restructuring of our operations. The feather in the cap came when the Government of Dubai became a key shareholder.
