Job description

Lead day-to-day operations across Windows, Linux, AIX, and AWS environments.
Manage and develop a cross-functional team of engineers responsible for infrastructure, storage, cloud, and security operations.
Oversee infrastructure services including virtualisation platforms, enterprise storage, backup solutions, and collaborate on network and security operations where required.
Ensure high availability and disaster recovery for critical banking systems, including DR drills and data replication testing.
Drive compliance with regulatory and internal standards, including patching, hardening, and lifecycle governance.
Prepare RFPs, evaluate proposals, and manage infrastructure-related procurement, budgeting, and vendor engagements.
Lead or support large-scale infrastructure initiatives such as data center upgrades, cloud integrations, system migrations, and service automation.
Promote best practices in infrastructure management and contribute to broader IT strategy and planning.
Foster team growth through performance reviews, skill development, and knowledge sharing.

The successful applicant

• 10+ years of experience in enterprise infrastructure, with at least 5 years in a team leadership role.
• Proven experience managing infrastructure in a regulated banking environment.
• Strong understanding of hybrid infrastructure environments, covering compute, storage, networking, virtualisation, and AWS platforms.
• Experience with DR planning, IT risk management, security alignment, and SLA-driven service delivery.
• Demonstrated ability to lead infrastructure projects across multiple domains and technologies.
• Experience managing vendors, contracts, and budgets within IT infrastructure.
• GCC experience is required; preference for candidates already based in the UAE.
