Overview of the Role

The Senior Manager Data Science - Financial Services is a pivotal role within the Financial Services Group, tasked with leading enterprise AI and data science initiatives. The primary aim is to optimize financial performance and enhance risk management through sophisticated analytics and machine learning techniques. The role oversees AI and data science efforts across Captive Finance, Cards & Payments, and Emirates Investment Bank divisions, driving impactful business insights and innovation.

What You Will Do

• Predictive Modeling
  Implement various predictive models, including residual value forecasting, credit risk scoring, and customer value proposition.
  Optimize asset allocation and fraud detection models.
  Develop and refine next best offer (NBO) strategies using advanced analytics.


• Financial Insights and KPI Standardization
  Standardize financial KPI metrics and risk dashboards using statistical process control.
  Generate financial insights through time series analysis, portfolio optimization, and risk modeling.
  Utilize advanced visualization techniques to convey key data insights.


• Collaboration and AI Solutions Design
  Collaborate with finance and risk teams to identify data-driven improvement opportunities.
  Design and implement AI solutions to enhance AI chatbots and automation flows.
  Leverage expertise in AI agents and LLM-driven products to build scalable systems.

Required Skills to Be Successful

• Expertise in Python, SQL, Databricks, and data visualization tools like Matplotlib and Plotly.
• Proficiency in financial modeling and risk management techniques, including IFRS 9/CECL, stress testing, and capital analytics.
• Strong knowledge of machine learning techniques, including NLP, transformers, and model explainability.
• Proven leadership and communication skills, capable of managing teams and delivering complex projects.

What Qualifies You for the Role

• Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Statistics, Computer Science, Financial Engineering, or a related field.
• Over 7 years of experience in financial analytics, data science, and machine learning.
• Hands-on expertise in advanced statistical methods, financial modeling, and machine learning techniques including NLP and computer vision.
• Proficient in Python, SQL, Databricks, and ML libraries such as TensorFlow and PyTorch. Additional experience with MLOps, Git, and data visualization tools.
