Senior Manager - Financial Modelling

Job description / Role

Robert Half is working on an exclusive basis with a well-known Utilities business based in Dubai. Due to continued success, they are now looking to recruit a Senior Manager - Financial Modelling.

The Role

This is a unique opportunity for a talented individual to join a fast growing company and lead a quantitative team focused on driving the financial modelling efforts of the company. The Senior Manager - Financial Modelling must have substantial experience in complex financial modelling. This role will report to the CFO initially, with dotted line to VP Structured Finance and Financial Controller and will work closely with all respective teams across the organization.

* Managing the company's quantitative analyses which includes lease calculators, bankable project/portfolio models, databasing as well as the corporate model / business plan.
* Supporting the business development and corporate finance teams on transactions as required
* Develop and update corporate valuation models and perform cash flow and transaction analyses.
* Prepare financial forecasts and present to the management.
* Communicate data driven insights through analyses, reporting and data visualization.
* Lead ad-hoc financial modelling requests from the business development team.
* Support the senior management team across diverse strategic initiatives and critical decisions by performing dedicated sensitivity analyses and developing new modelling tools as required.
* Support the accounting team in developing financial forecasts and reporting tools.
* Develop and prepare a variety of financial reports pertaining to project feasibility and performance.
* Integrate actual financial results with forecasted financials therefore maintaining a complete financial forecast for the group.
* Understand and apply (with support from the Financial Controller) complex accounting arrangements including but not limited to inter-company recharges and balances, distribution of dividends, lease accounting etc.

* Supervises and motivates direct reports to achieve results and instil a culture of continuous improvement.
* Creates a high performing team environment enabling employees to reach their full potential and maximize personal and business performance.
* Proactively identifies and resolves issues and delegates to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects.
* Recruits, develops, and retains employees, partnering with the Senior Management and Human Resources.
* Defines and communicates annual goals, performs formal and informal performance reviews,
* Ensures changes and updates are communicated in a timely and professional manner.
* Ensures compliance with the law and company's policies.

Requirements

The Candidate

* Bachelor's degree in math, engineering, or computer science.
* 7+ years of experience in financial modeling (Excel + VBA + databasing) for banks, corporates, advisors in the project finance, corporate finance, infrastructure, or energy space.

Preferred:

* Master's degree with a concentration in math, engineering or computer science preferred.
* Experience in the renewable energy sector (solar/wind).
* Coding in Python, C++, Java, and/or other languages.
* Experience in operating

Salary and Benefits
30,000 - 35,000 AED per month plus benefits
