Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Strategic management of the company facilities.
- Design review of projects to optimise a achieve cost effective FM services.
- Initiating and implementation of sustainable Facilities Management.
- Preparing and review of Gap analysis to improve the overall performance of FM activities.
- Review and resolve major technical problems & prepare Root Cause Analysis.

Improve skill set of staff.
- Develop, Implement Policies and Procedures for management of facilities.
- Implement asset maintenance and repair activities to optimise asset management.
- Evaluate business performance and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Acts as a center point of communications for support and guidance for FM services on site.
- Responsible for setting up FM standards in accordance with the industry best practices.
- Responsible for adherence to business controls, processes and procedures.
- Develop standard performance indicators and management information.
- Develop standard performance indicators and management information for client reports.
- To establish standardized processes across the projects in compliance with legislation and meeting industry ‘best practice’.
- Coordinate project/facilities performance reviews against output on a monthly basis.
- Ensure projects are managed within the portfolio and delivered on time and within budget.
- Provide professional advice/direction to the company on FM matters/solutions associated with the site/s.
- Responsibility for ensuring compliance to legislation relevant to FM service.
- Manage suppliers who support the site/s.
- Manage specialist FM Contractors and Suppliers, to align operational and site specific goals.
- Accountable for the financial performance of the project FM service delivery.
- Ensure best practices and innovation are applied on all sites as appropriate.
- Carries out annual management audit review across all areas on specific compliance requirements.
- Ensure that all Health & Safety and Environmental requirements are in place.

Financial
- Accountable for effective financial costs & controls of the company projects.
- Ensure all monthly financial reports are generated on time.
- Be commercially aware and have a sound knowledge of cost controls and budget preparation.

Environment, Health and Safety
- Follow all Health & Safety and Environmental requirements that are defined on work instructions or communicated in training.
- Follow required emergency prevention and operational controls.
- Report all accidents, occupational illnesses and emergencies
- Apply, execute and maintain function related quality issues

Requirements

- Mechanical/Electrical University degree.
- Computer literate.
- Self-motivated and result driven
- Strong supervisory skills and influencing ability.
- Strong communication skills (oral and written)
- Pro activeness and innovative thinking.
- Proven successful experience of 10 years’ experience in FM Management (20+ overall).
- Experience of multi-site management (10 years).
- Manage staff as required including subcontracted staff.
- Sound knowledge of EHS
- Understanding of Projects in occupied environments.
- Experience in managing/ dealing with suppliers/contractors.
- Good knowledge of SLA's/KPI's and measurement procedures.
- Understanding of engineering disciplines e.g. electrical, mechanical, and civil or facilities management.
