Overview
MBC is looking for a dynamic professional to lead partnership for its next generation media aggregation platform MBCNOW. This position involves identifying, developing, and managing key relationships to enhance the company's market position and achieve business growth. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in partnership development and strategic planning, with a proven track record of building successful alliances.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities
Strategic Partnership Development:
- Develop relationships with telco partners to best utilize the MBCNOW platform and create value for the partners and their end customers.
- Identify and pursue new partnership opportunities that align with the platform's strategic goals.
- Develop and execute partnership strategies that drive growth and expand market presence.
- Negotiate and finalize partnership agreements to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key partners and stakeholders.
- Act as the primary point of contact for partnership inquiries and issues.
- Monitor and manage the performance of partnerships, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Troubleshoot partner issues and make sure they have access to all the resources available to monitor and improve performance.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with sales, marketing, and product development teams to ensure smooth integration of partnership strategies into business priorities and product roadmap.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless execution and support for partnership initiatives.

Market Analysis and Reporting:
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive threats.
- Prepare and present regular reports on partnership performance, progress, and impact on business goals.
- Evaluate and adjust partnership strategies based on performance metrics and changing market conditions.
Innovation and Thought Leadership:
- Stay abreast of industry trends, market dynamics, and emerging technologies to identify new partnership opportunities.
- Maintain a clear understanding of competitors' strategies and tactics.
- Provide thought leadership on partnership best practices and contribute to establishing MBCNOW as the default media solution for telcos in MENA.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Seven (7) to ten (10) years of client-facing experience in partnerships and business development.
- Proven track record of success in developing and managing data partnerships within the telecommunications, media, technology, or related industry.
- Past experience in roles that were measured by growth, new revenue streams, new partners, and new clients.
- Strong understanding of telco and media business.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively at all levels.
- Comfortable as lead on proposals and contracts with supporting SMEs as needed (legal, etc.).
- Strategic thinker with the ability to translate business objectives into actionable partnership strategies and initiatives.
