Senior Manager - Internal Audit

Job description / Role

Report to - Division Director (Audit Office)

JOB OBJECTIVE

- Manage the periodic audit compliance reporting the (i) internal controls, (ii) accuracy of financial and administrative records and (iii) compliance with approved function’s policies and procedures.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Oversee the development of audit plans, policies, guidelines, procedures and internal control mechanisms
- Ensure the implementation of relevant audit management frameworks, tools and software
- Oversee the development of enterprise-wide risk assessments studies and annual reports and review consulting activities and follow ups and present the results to the Audit Committee and the President
- Review and ensure compliance of company and its affiliates to internal policies and procedures
- Oversee the risk management process related to the department and its subsidiaries and present the results to the Audit Committee and the President
- Periodically review audit findings for company and its affiliates and report results to the audit committee and the chairman
- Liaise with concerned parties for periodic audits, review findings provided, and ensure its fulfillment in company affiliates
- Assess detailed reports on audit findings and approve issuance of audit reports to relevant authorities
- Assess and report on the reliability and integrity of accounting records and management report
- Ensure the execution of a systematic, disciplined and balanced approach to evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of processes, internal controls, risk management, and governance processes
- Review and endorse final accounts for company's affiliates
- Carry out special audit requests upon Chairman request subject to Audit Committee approval

Requirements

ACADEMIC QUALIFICATION

- University degree or 4 years diploma in a specialized field or equivalent, preferably a Master’s degree

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

- Experience of at least 12 years in the relevant field, preferably in the education sector.
