Job description / Role
Overview
To build and manage Etihad's strategy for developing, engaging, and retaining UAE national talent to provide a talent pipeline of UAE nationals to support the airline's short- and long-term business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Design Etihad's 3-5 year Emiratisation strategy in alignment with the overall company's 5-year plan and business needs and communicate the strategy to the key stakeholders internally and externally.
- Design and implement UAE National development programmes in line with Etihad's overall business strategy.
- Direct and manage the various UAE National programmes (e.g., Cadet Pilot Programme, Technical Engineer Development Programme, Aircraft Mechanic Development Programme, Graduate Development Programme, Foundation Development Programme, etc).
- Design and implement a quality assurance process that ensures all UAE National programmes are fit for purpose and deliver capable and professional employees in line with business needs.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with strategic government partners and educational institutes to support the smooth delivery of Etihad's Emiratisation strategy.
- Ensure that all trainee HR policies and processes are fit for training purposes and aligned with current and future business needs.
- Lead benchmark studies to update programmes' design and content, and provide key enhancements to Etihad's Emiratisation plans and strategies.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant subject such as HR Development or Occupational Psychology.
- Minimum 10 years of supervisory experience in HR or L&D role.
