Job description / Role
Our client is a Leading banking group in the UAE.
The AVP UI/UX Design Chapter is responsible for heading the UI/UX design chapter to enable successful transition towards agile development methodology from a software user interface and user experience perspective and achieve a high level of performance and quality in delivering agile pilots that provide exceptional business value to users. He may play a number of different roles in actual practice:
* As line manager of all the UI/UX designers working in agile teams being responsible for building highly efficient teams and taking care of people development
* Acting as contact point for both staff from chapters and counterparts from the agile organisation (Head of Agile Delivery, squads and tribes) in the matrix setup to ensure excellence in delivery of agile development projects in terms of quality, time-line and cost
* Building, implementing and enforcing common structures for UI/UX design and implementation to ensure that best practices and guidelines are followed across the different tribes and squads, e.g., common user interface design guidelines following state-of-the-art practices
Requirements
Knowledge of technology and tools: Deep knowledge of necessary tools and practices in order to enable agile development and UI/UX design and implementation including latest developments as well as back-end implementation and interface technology.
Methodologies and practices: Deep knowledge of agile development practices in general as well as in specific area of UI/UX design and implementation. Good connections to the agile development practice in the region and key new development and innovation areas beneficial. Additional deep knowledge in enterprise architecture and principles helpful.
Business acumen: Liaise with the business to align on priorities, therefore knowledge of business priorities and banking business is beneficial which includes knowledge of current business priorities on department level.
