Job description / Role
Fantastic opportunity for a talented Senior / Managing MEP Quantity Surveyor to join a very well established MEP Contractor in Dubai, who have just been appointed to deliver the MEP Services on a multi-billion dollar project in Abu Dhabi.
This role will suit a dynamic MEP QS, that has a proven background as an MEP Quantity Surveyor within contracting organisations in the GCC and an ability to lead a team.
Requirements
* Needs to be degree qualified BSc (Hons) Quantity Surveying or similar
* MRICS Chartered status preferable
* Strong MEP contracting background mandatory
* Minimum 12 years' experience required
* Experience in GCC high rise & major projects (USD100m) preferable
* CCS (Construction Computer Software) experience preferable
* Great communication skills essential
* Reporting line Commercial Manager / General Manager
* Claims experience preferable
Key Attributes
* Demonstrate a full understanding of the commercial aspects of MEP contracting.
* Ability to lead the site commercial team comprising of 10-12 persons.
* Main point of liaison with the Main Contractor and Employers Cost Consultant to ensure maximum company benefit from claims & VO's.
* Daily liaison with the project manager, and all other department heads (Engineering, QA/QC, Procurement etc.) to ensure adequate letters & notifications are issued
* Assessment of project risks and development of mitigation plans
* Sound Cost Reporting skills
Full expat package provided, as part of the above salary. This is comprised of basic, accommodation and car allowances. Family visa, flights, medical & gratuity provided along with schooling, mobile, laptop and fuel card.
