Senior Mechanical Engineer (Site Supervision)

Job description / Role

Under the direct supervision of the Resident Engineer, the Site Mechanical Engineer to supervise, review plans, submittals, controls and monitors the actual execution of all Mechanical related works of the project, to ensure that the project will be done in accordance with all the approved construction drawings, contract documents, specifications and all applicable standards.

Knowledge in various statutory regulations such as DU, EHS, PDC, EMPOWER, DWC, DM, DEWA Green Building etc.

Requirements

• Min 15 years experience required in related field
• Preference given to those with a minimum of 7 years consultancy experience
• Must have full exposure on mixed-use development supervision and District Cooling requirements, Equipment sizing, Hydraulic calculation, Duct sizing, Pipe sizing, Fan selection Testing & Commissioning Procedures etc.
• Supervision of HVAC System Layouts complete with heat load calculations (using HAP)
• Reviewing & Supervision of HVAC System (Ventilation, Air-conditioning calculations, HAP, Smoke Central systems, etc) as per ASHRAE
• Review of Drainage, Water supply, Fire Protection and Gas system with related calculations as per UPC, DCD, DEWA, DM, IPC, EHS regulations & Standards
• Must be able to review of Ventilation calculations, Smoke Central systems, etc as per ASHRAE
• Able to independently review of Drainage, Water supply, Fire Protection and Gas system with related calculations as per UPC, DCD, DEWA, IPC, EHS regulations
• Knowledge and exposure on Mixed-use Building Designs, Infrastructure Layouts etc.
• Review of shop drawings, liaising with Client & Contractor
