Senior Mechanical Technician

Job description / Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Technician to join our dynamic team in Sharjah, UAE. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing our fleet of crawler cranes and vibro equipment used in geotechnical engineering projects, ensuring operational excellence and safety standards.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on crawler cranes and vibro machinery to ensure peak performance and reliability.
- Diagnose mechanical issues and implement effective solutions with minimal downtime.
- Collaborate with engineering and project teams to support equipment installation, calibration, and operation on-site.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations at all times.
- Mentor junior technicians and provide technical guidance to enhance team capabilities.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize equipment performance and operational processes.

- Minimum 5 years in heavy equipment maintenance and repair
- Hands-on experience with hydraulic systems and diesel engines
- Familiarity with piling, drilling, and foundation equipment (e.g., crawler cranes, vibros, rigs, pumps).
- Ability to interpret equipment manuals and schematics.
- Proficient in troubleshooting and overhauling engines, transmissions, and hydraulic components.
- Skilled in preventive maintenance
- Capable of troubleshooting and completing repairs independently
- Basic English communication (written and verbal) required.
- Valid UAE driving license (preferred).
- Willing to work on sites across the region when required
