Senior MEP Engineer

Job description / Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior MEP Engineer to join our dynamic real estate development team in the UAE. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in designing, coordinating, and managing Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems for a variety of prestigious projects. This position requires a proactive leader with excellent technical expertise and the ability to work collaboratively across multiple disciplines to ensure project success.

Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate MEP solutions seamlessly into project plans.
- Prepare detailed MEP drawings, specifications, and bill of materials ensuring compliance with local codes and international standards.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor progress, quality, and adherence to design specifications.
- Coordinate with contractors and suppliers to resolve technical issues promptly and maintain project timelines.
- Review and approve MEP shop drawings and submittals.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technical staff.
- Participate in project meetings and report on MEP progress, risks, and mitigation strategies.
- Lead the design and implementation of MEP systems across residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments.

- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering discipline.
- Minimum of 7 years experience in MEP engineering within the real estate or construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of MEP design software such as AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and other relevant tools.
- Familiarity with UAE building codes, standards, and regulations.
- Proven experience managing complex MEP systems including HVAC, electrical distribution, plumbing, fire protection, and energy management.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
- Effective communication and leadership abilities to manage teams and liaise with multiple stakeholders.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional certification or membership with engineering bodies is a plus (e.g., PMP, Chartered Engineer).

Salary:
AED 10,000 to 15,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
