Senior Officer - Mines

This opportunity is with a large Building Material manufacturing company in the UAE

We are looking for an experienced Senior Officer to undertake all aspects of the company’s mining activities. You will supervise and coordinate the mining staff, set goals and guidelines, manage budgets and schedules, gather and analyze data, and produce progress reports, presenting them to senior management.

Responsibilities
• Ensure quality of material excavated produced by contractor for the company as per plant requirement.
• Comply with all Mining industry safety rules, procedures, and applicable government regulations.
• Providing leadership and managerial skills to coordinate operations, including hiring and training workers, purchasing supplies, and maintaining equipment
• Manage the Mining Contractor & mining team.
• Supervise field work related to drilling/blasting by subcontractors.
• Reviewing safety regulations, standards, and procedures to ensure they are followed at all times
• Conducting inspections of equipment and facilities to ensure that safety standards are being met

Requirements

Requirements
• 5+ years of experience managing mining activities in UAE
• Bachelors or Masters in related field
• Must have liaising experience with municipalities in the Emirates
• Good communication skills as the role required careful reading of drafted mining contract & negotiation on the same.
