Senior Operations Manager

Job description / Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Operations Manager to take full ownership of operational strategy, performance, and execution for a fast-growing online retail / e-commerce platform expanding into the UAE market. This leadership role is pivotal in shaping the operational foundation, driving scalability, and ensuring seamless end-to-end customer experience during a major phase of regional growth.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership across all operational domains, including order lifecycle management, logistics, supply chain, customer service, and vendor operations.
- Architect and implement robust operational frameworks, processes, and SOPs that support large-scale growth and operational excellence.
- Lead, inspire, and develop high-performing teams across multiple functions, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and performance standards.
- Oversee operational P&L elements, budget planning, forecasting, and resource optimization.
- Establish, track, and continuously refine key performance metrics to ensure operational efficiency, service quality, and customer satisfaction.
- Partner closely with executive leadership to drive strategic initiatives, market expansion plans, and business transformation projects.
- Strengthen end-to-end supply chain capabilities, optimize inventory flow, and enhance last-mile delivery performance.
- Identify operational risks, implement mitigation strategies, and drive long-term solutions that improve productivity and resilience.
- Champion the adoption of new technologies, digital tools, and automation to elevate operational performance.
- Ensure compliance with UAE regulations, industry standards, and best practices in e-commerce operations.

- 7+ years of proven experience in senior operations roles within e-commerce or online retail.
- Strong command of UAE’s digital commerce landscape, customer behaviour, and logistics ecosystem.
- A natural leader who thrives in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
- Skilled in scaling operations, building teams, and establishing structure in evolving businesses.
- Excellent communicator with strong stakeholder management capability.
- Must be fluent in English and Arabic
- Currently based in the UAE
