Senior Planning Engineer - Dubai

A reputable construction firm has an urgent requirement to recruit Senior Planning Engineer to be based in Dubai. This role will play a key part in the successful delivery of the project and is responsible for short and long range project planning and scheduling functions, supervising assigned professional, technical, and clerical personnel and directing the timely completion of complex reports.

Main responsibilities:
- Plan, schedule and monitor Supervision of projects on the construction sites
- Establish reporting protocols
- Maintain the progress measurement systems by management
- Review for compliance all reports
- Carry out studies into scheduling, manning and material flow as needed
- Set and monitor the tasks within the client’s service organisation
- Attend offsite meetings as requested by the client
- Assist in the defence / approval of any claim for time extension or major change to the schedule
- Develop and maintaining the project master schedules
- Review claims for extension of time and calculate additional cost for delayed events
- Provide information, technical support and guidance to all members of the project controls team
- Ensure that time, cost, resource dimensions of the project are addressed

Requirements

- BSc in Civil Engineering or any related engineering discipline
- Experience in civil works and understanding of production in construction
- Must possess 10-12 years of total planning, scheduling and project controls
- Effective IT and communication skills in report writing, presentations and holding effective conversations
- Expert user of Primavera
- Knowledge in ISO standards
