Senior Planning Engineer

Job description / Role

1. To ensure the preparation and submission by the Contractor of a construction programme which meets the requirements of the construction contract, including:
• Logic Network (CPM) including Critical Paths
• Short construction activities
• Activities tabular schedules
• Bar Chart schedules
• Shop drawings and materials submission and approval schedules
• Procurement schedules
• Each activity having a clear defined quantity, duration, cost, manpower and equipment resource
• Resource schedules and histograms
• Cost expenditures
• Work Breakdown Structures (WBS)
• Subcontractors schedules
• Nominations and subcontractors/suppliers sign-offs
• Client key date milestones
• Snagging, testing and commissioning periods
• Key services connection and submissions for approvals milestones
2. Review and approve Contractors construction programme for compliance
3. Evaluate the contractors detailed plan including equipment mobilisation, material procurement and delivery of shop drawings
4. Identify potential problem areas and obstacles that may affect the works and progress and recommend appropriate actions
5. Check as per construction contract the competence and suitability of major subcontractors and suppliers the Contractor proposed to engage

Requirements

Min. 8 years Dubai experience
12 years total relevant experience
3 years engineering consultancy experience
Degree in Civil Engineering
Must be familiar with the latest Project Management tools, including Primavera 6
