Senior Planning Engineer - Building Projects Construction

Job description / Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Planning Engineer with a strong background in civil construction to join our UAE project team.

You will be responsible for developing, monitoring, and updating project schedules to ensure timely delivery, while coordinating closely with project stakeholders throughout all phases. The ideal candidate has a solid understanding of construction methodologies, resource planning, and proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS Office.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed Project Construction Schedule including cost, resources, milestones, procurement and authority connections to obtain consultant’s approval.
• Prepare Project Mobilization Schedule / Check List in accordance with the steps out-lined in project mobilization procedures.
• Prepare, review and approve the subcontractor’s program in line with the requirements of the baseline program and the contract.
• Monitor the progress against the approved project construction schedule and alert the site management and the top management of any impediments that has the potential to jeopardize the milestone targets.
• Prepare detailed monthly reports to the consultant including detailed status reports on progress, technical submissions, commercial aspects, progress photographs and HSE statistics.
• Follow up closely the material deliveries for the project and ensure timely deliveries for on-time completion of the project and report findings in weekly internal progress meetings.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 6-7 years of experience in planning for building projects such as high rise residential and commercial, leisure centres, healthcare facilities, government buildings, industrial facilities etc.,
• At least 2-4 years in similar role in contracting company in UAE.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6, Power Point, and MS Office.
• Proven track record in successful planning of building projects from start to finish preferably in the UAE
• Good command of the English language
