Senior Procurement Engineer

Overview of the role

Senior Procurement Engineer will conduct subcontract procurement activities for various projects in order to ensure effective and timely delivery of the project.

What you will do

Purchasing activities
Process subcontract enquiries to ensure subcontract packages are procured in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Prepare subcontract ITT in line with policy and procedures.
Check prequalification of new subcontractors.

Vendor management
Participate in negotiations with suppliers to obtain the best cost and lead time offerings.
Conduct performance evaluations for suppliers to maintain quality services and products.
Develop and maintain the supplier database to ensure all data and offerings are updated.

Operational accountabilities
Ensure all relevant safety, quality, and environmental procedures, instructions, and controls are followed to guarantee safety, service quality, and environmental compliance within AFC.

What qualifies you for the job

• Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering
• Minimum 10 years of experience with a main contractor in UAE
• Experience in material and subcontractor procurement
