Job description / Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Product Owner to join our Product Team, focusing on banking and financial products. This role is instrumental in driving the strategic vision, design, and implementation of product initiatives that align with Client’s objectives and deliver exceptional value to stakeholders. The ideal candidate will combine expertise in product management, business analysis, and Agile practices to oversee the full lifecycle of product features, ensuring alignment with stakeholder needs and business priorities. Reporting to the Head of Product Management and Delivery Leads, the Senior Product Owner will work closely with diverse teams and Abu Dhabi Government entities to achieve shared goals.
General Responsibilities:
Requirements Gathering & Roadmap Prioritization:
• Lead in-depth requirements gathering sessions to identify and translate complex business needs into actionable product features.
• Develop and maintain a well-prioritized product backlog, ensuring alignment with business goals and stakeholder expectations.
• Craft detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications to guide Agile development teams effectively.
Product Development Lifecycle Oversight:
• Oversee the product lifecycle from discovery to delivery, ensuring milestones are met and features deliver intended business value.
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers, developers, and QA teams to deliver user-friendly, reliable, and innovative solutions.
• Continuously monitor product performance, utilizing metrics and feedback to refine and enhance product functionality.
Stakeholder Engagement & Communication:
• Act as the primary point of contact between Client, financial institutions, and Abu Dhabi Governmental entities, fostering strong partnerships.
• Conduct stakeholder meetings to align on product strategies, gather feedback, and manage expectations effectively.
• Present product updates, strategies, and outcomes to diverse audiences, ensuring transparency and stakeholder buy-in.
Requirements:
Quality Assurance, Testing & Continuous Improvement:
• Lead user acceptance testing (UAT) to validate product functionality and adherence to business requirements.
• Document lessons learned and champion best practices to optimize product development and delivery processes.
Agile Facilitation & Team Support:
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives, ensuring team alignment with product goals.
• Provide mentorship and support to team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
• Proactively address and resolve roadblocks to maintain momentum in product delivery
Requirements:
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field.
• An MBA or certifications in Business Analysis, Product Management, or related disciplines are preferred.
Skills & Competencies:
• Deep knowledge of banking and financial products, with a focus on digital innovation and user-centric solutions.
• Strong expertise in product lifecycle management, strategic planning, and Agile frameworks (e.g., Scrum, SAFe).
• Proficiency in Agile tools, including Jira and Confluence, along with project management applications.
• Exceptional communication skills with a proven ability to manage diverse stakeholder groups effectively.
Experience:
• Minimum of 8 years in product management or business analysis roles, with significant experience in banking/financial services.
• Background in top-tier consulting firms or similar environments is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated success in leading end-to-end product development cycles in high-impact, fast-paced environments.
