Senior Project Architect

Job description / Role

The Senior Project Architect will be responsible for working on multi-discipline design projects, including commercial, residential, tall tower and mixed-use developments. This role will include Architectural Design, Production Drawings, Design Reviews and Design Management.

Preference will be given to qualified candidates who can demonstrate experience in the following:
- Performs various projects coordination duties, programming, site analysis, scheduling and establishing project objectives; coordinates activities of all professional disciplines assigned to the project; assists in the identification of the client’s expectations for quality, price and schedule.
- Proven ability in producing concepts designs, client presentations, along with controlling and supervising the design team through to Tender Stage.
- Thorough knowledge of construction materials, standards and codes in reviewing documents in various phases for design intent and a good understanding or Architectural quality.
- Excellent communication and time management skills with experience in coordinating and managing internal Design disciplines.
- Good understanding of architectural detailing with experience in BIM / CAD / Revit software.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, we envision that you will have Bachelor Architecture Degree and a minimum of 10 years of architectural design experience along with an understanding of RFI’s and RFP’s, Change Orders as well as the ability to mentor staff.

Membership of a professional Architectural Association such as RIBA or AIA is preferred.

Previous experience gained within a Consultancy environment would be beneficial. Prior experience in the Gulf Region would be advantageous.
